Our ICML paper got awarded as outstanding paper
We are happy to announce that this year’s ICML paper by our CTO Lorenz Richter got awarded as an outstanding paper. Only 5 out of 1184 accepted and 5513 submitted papers (so roughly 0.1%) got this honorable mentioning. The other winning papers can be found here. We are happy that dida can continue to contribute to cutting-edge machine learning research which is also highly relevant for practical applications.
The paper suggests an efficient numerical solver for high-dimensional parabolic partial differential equations, which are relevant for example in engineering, physics and finance. It relies on the tensor train format and contrasts this approach to deep neural networks as an alternative method. You can find the paper here and the video presentation here.
