Johan Dettmar, Machine Learning Scientist at dida, was invited to present at the yearly event "National Program for Space travel and Innovation" which is hosted by DLR Raumfahrtmanagement in Bonn, Germany. dida was awarded with two ESA Kickstarter projects earlier this year, namely "ASMSpotter", a Machine Learning (ML) based software tool for detecting Artisanal Mining sites in Northeastern Surinam as well as "4D Urban Insights", an ML software tool for monitoring urban development of 5 West African cities. The two projects were presented to various members of ESA and DLR, as well as their academic- and industry partners.
