dida on stage with our partner idealo at the OOP (Object Oriented Programming) conference

Together with our partner idealo, dida will present a Machine Learning solution to keep a huge product database up to date.

Dr. Jan Anderssen (Domain Lead Inventory Business at idealo) and Jona Welsch (Machine Learning Project Lead at dida) will show how state of the art Deep Learning methods (such as Transformers, BERT) were used in connection with smart text matching in order to extract relevant information from free-form text.

They also explain how the existing database was leveraged in order to create an automatically labelled training dataset, which reduced the required amount of manual labelling drastically. The developed model enables continuous automatic updates of idealos database.
