dida joins Space2Agriculture innovation network
We are happy to announce that dida has become a member of the state-funded innovation network Space2Agriculture which was initiated by the DLR. Other partners of the network include various institutes from Fraunhofer and DLR, Deutscher Bauernverband, John Deere or KWS Saat.
We share the DLR's vision that agriculture will be one of the first sectors that will capitalize on space data with various applications in crop classification, agricultural EU subsidy control, crop growth modelling and precision farming. Moreover, drones will deliver increasing amounts of visual data to be interpreted by Machine Learning algorithms. As dida has ample experience in pattern recognition and image segmentation of satellite images, we believe that agriculture is a promising industry with various interesting problems to solve with Machine Learning and Computer Vision software.
