dida contributes to X-KIT Cluster Computer Vision white paper with KAMI project

We're happy to announce that Machine Learning Scientist Dr. Maximilian Trescher has contributed a chapter to the recently published whitepaper of the X-KIT Cluster Computer Vision. Developed as part of the X-KIT project - funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and supported by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE) - the whitepaper highlights eight innovative projects using computer vision to address challenges in agriculture and livestock management. The X-KIT project promotes collaboration between AI initiatives in these sectors, maximizing synergies and minimizing redundant efforts.

Our contribution comes from the KAMI project, where we've developed a prototype that uses image-based technology to automatically and accurately measure the respiratory rate of dairy cows. This system helps farmers monitor the health of their animals efficiently and non-invasively.

We're glad to have worked with other contributors to explore how computer vision can create practical, impactful solutions in these areas.
