AIgent3D research project kicks off

News

Together with our project partners Bond3D and Fraunhofer IPT, dida has kicked off a 2-year research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

The goal of the project is to increase the efficiency is additive manufacturing ("3D printing") by applying modern machine learning algorithms to the various data collected from the Fused Decomposition Modelling machines of Bond3D. By interlinking sensory and image recordings of the production process, rich data sets are collected, which are suitable for the application of machine learning algorithms. For example, dida will investigate how these data can be mined to set process parameters and to predict product quality during the production process.

We are very much looking forward to the cooperation with our project partners and to delve into this exciting research project.
