Talk at California Institute of Technology
Our CTO Lorenz Richter visited the group of Anima Anandkumar (director of machine learning research at NVIDIA and Bren professor of computing) at Caltech in Los Angeles and gave a talk on diffusion-based generative modeling. It was a great opportunity to exchange on cutting-edge AI trends and to get some California sun.
In his presentation, Lorenz delved into the intricacies of diffusion-based generative modeling. The talk established a connection between generative modeling based on Stochastic Differential Equations (SDEs) and three foundational pillars of mathematics: stochastic optimal control, Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), and path space measures.
This presentation reflects dida's dedication to pushing the limits of mathematical research, cultivating collaboration among diverse fields of study, and propelling tangible progress.
