Nvidia Inception Summit: New Titan RTX for dida

In February 2020 dida was selected to present ASMSpotter at the Nvidia Inception Summit / GTC (see Presentation Gallery > Computer Vision / Intelligent Video Analytics / Video & Image Processing). ASMSpotter is an ESA-project developed by dida and the Institute of Mineral Resources Engineering (MRE) at RWTH Aachen. The goal of the project is to automatically locate artesanal and small-scale mining (ASM) sites in the Amazonian rainforest of Suriname.

dida was chosen with seven other companies to present their work. Nvidia decided to award our presentation with a Titan RTX GPU by Nvidia. We are very happy to announce that as of today we received the GPU and, of course, in no time upgraded our on-premise machinery. Our gratitude goes out to Alexander Martynau and Nvidia!
