IPAI Experience Day 2025

On Tuesday Markus Düttmann and David Berscheid had the opportunity to join IPAI's Experience Day. The event brought together the IPAI community to showcase their latest work in AI and share their learnings with other IPAI members.

While we've had plenty of interesting conversations, some of our highlights where:

• Aleph Alpha's talk on "Specialists build the world, generalists talk about it", where Yasser Jadidi presented research efforts of Aleph Alpha like tracing in LLMs and how they relate to the final customer value - concepts we might consider in some of our own LLM-focused research projects;

• Getting great demos from the MANN+HUMMEL team about their AI in manufacturing and data sharing platform;

• Learning from AUDI AG how they are working on their MLOps platform to enable machinery optimizations across manufacturing plants;

• Talking to the ebm-papst team on topics like demand forecasting and tooling decisions;

Overall the Experience Day was packed with interesting demonstrations.

This event was a great example of how the typical narrative of European enterprises lacking ambition in AI adoption often falls short. What we saw here was great momentum, ambitious AI agendas, and realistic approaches to achieving them.
